Barong and Kris Dance
Barong and Kris Dance like the kecak dance the Barong and Kris Dance is a battle between good and evil spirit. Barong can take various forms but in this dance he takes the form of the dance Barong Keket, the most holy of the Barongs. The Barong Keket is a strange creature, half shaggy dog, half lion and is played by two men in much the same way as a circus clown-horse. His opponent is the witch Rangda. The fight between Barong and Rangda is also the topic of traditional narratives, usually performed in the temple of the dead.

The Bali Chocolate factory is great place, possibly. About 10 Km past Candi Dasa. Make a day of it and stop in at Virgin Beach, see the lotus pond in Candi Dasa and head on out past the beautiful. You will see a tiny sign as shown in the album to turn off to your right, and past the coconut grove. You will arrive. Taste the peanut crunch and a couple of other chocolaty options, then climb the ladder and launch yourself off on the huge swing. It is amazing the sensation of dropping down and swinging through the coconut trees with the view of the stunning east coast beach scape.
